Import data into your building model using SchüCal data.
To be able to use this function, you must have booked the workspace
Element management. You also need at least Write access to the
building model area (EMS). Furthermore you need a SchüCal account
to view data there and to be able to export. To open the interface
for the first time, please activate it by contacting the Schüco
Digital Support.
Preparations:
- Add your project as usual.
- If necessary, add a digital building model into which you want to import your data. If you have not yet created a building model, you can create a new building model structure from SchüCal.
- Activate the PlanToBuild interface in SchüCal: In order to be able to use the interface, it must be activated. To do this, contact your Schüco Digital Support (ServiceDesk@schueco.com).
- Activation is free.
Export data in SchüCal:
- First select your desired project in SchüCal or create a new one. Create your positions as usual. Select the project to be exported and then click on PlanToBuild Export.
- Important: Individual SchüCal positions cannot be exported.
- Enter your personal PlanToBuild access data.
- Now select the project and building model created in PlanToBuild into which the data should be exported. If you have not yet created a building model, you can create a new building model structure from SchüCal.
Use imported data in PlanToBuild:
- In PlanToBuild, open your project and the building model into which the data was imported.
- You can see the status of the synchronization at any time under Synch: synchronized (green) or not synchronized (red) with the element positions in SchüCal
- Find your imported data within your building model in the systems. A separate subsystem has been created for each imported position.
- The specified number and properties, listed articles and attached documents are imported from SchüCal. You can of course add further articles or documents.
- Important: If you change your position in SchüCal, synchronization will not start automatically. If the changes are to be transferred, select Yes when prompted to export the changes. Otherwise click on No in order not to adopt the changes in PlanToBuild.
- Important: To update your systems, right-click on the respective subsystem and select Synchronize. Alternatively, you can view the different versions under Manage versions and select them to synchronize.
- Build your elements from your subsystems to keep track of your construction progress.
