Add defects to your building model in order to not only document the defect itself, but also to locate it and link it to your elements.
To be able to use this function, you need at least write access
to defects.

Click path:
- Element Management Workspace > Select Project > Building Models > Select Building Model > Defects
- To create a new defects, please click on "+".
- By marking a defect, the properties of the defect open up. Here you can make all adjustments.
- General: Under General you can, among other things, Store information about the defect category, the person responsible and the status.
- Tags: Under tags you can tag your defects on drawings and plans (or other documents). To do this, click on Add Tag. In the tagging mode, the first created document opens automatically. To place the tag on a different file, you can open the drawing list on the left side of the document and select another file. In order to place the tag, please click with the mouse (shown as a cross in the tagging mode) at the corresponding point within your document. If the placement is not in the right place, you can always drag it to another place on the page of the document with the mouse. You can call up the tag by double-clicking on the respective location listed in the properties.
To delete a tag, select the relevant tag and click Delete. - Elements: Under elements you can link existing elements with your deficiency. To do this, click on Attach elements and select the appropriate elements. As soon as a defect is attached to an element, the element status changes to paused (red). You can store your own status (for the defect itself) for each defect in an element. To do this, click on the status dropdown menu and select the relevant status. This status is also displayed in the building model with a colored exclamation icon. To delete a link between a defect and an item, you can select the link and click Delete. Please note: You need full access for this deletion.
- Documents: Store files and other documents on the defect. To do this, click on project files to upload files from the PlanToBuild structure or click on upload files to upload from your own folder structure.
- The defects that you have created here in the building model can also be found in the extended defect overview under Workspace Element Management > Defects and (if you have booked the Workspace Field Operations) in the simple defect overview under Workspace Field Operations > Defects.
